The little sister of Portugal and the most beautiful flower of South america: Brazil!!!She is a country very cheerful, nicely, festive, and positive. She always be nice to everyone, trying to help even if he can’t, and sometimes he’ll end up not helping at all and actually disturbing. She always says: the hope is always the last to die.She can look like a delicate woman but she is really very very very stong. Brazil it’s a emerging country, in the last few years her economy grew up much! Her country is one of 10th biggest gross national product.She loves the Soap operas and she would be a noisy person, very talkative and always ready to a party (She loves party!!!) Even in a place that is not very likely. (with lots of music and very varied rythims). But one of her defects it’s the “Brazilian way” of doing things. She always try to do what is better to herself and in order to make the least effort possible… She wouldn’t mind doing something not very right to succeed, specially in little things of the quotidian, such as pretend a handicap to pass in front of everyone in a bank. She wouldn’t think of it as being wrong or dishonest, but rather “smart”. Even though she would love to criticize the ones doing the same. For this reason sometimes she gets into trouble.She is not very proud of her politicians. She is unlucky to chosing bosses. Most of Brazil’s politicians are often very corrupt and steal to the people, not all of them, but most. Her favourite food is rice, beans and meat and her favoutite drink are guaraná juice and “caipirinha”.She is a country known as “the country of miscegenation”, because it’s hard to find someone with a visually defined race. She was made of people whose ancestors vary from indians, portuguese, spanish, italians, africans,japanese, germans… She has a good relation with many countries… she is quite neutral during conflicts…culture is VERY diversificated culture, due to very wide territory and colonization from many countries, being the most striking the portuguese, italian and japanese colonizations.Portugal is her big brother. Portugal is seen as silly, slow country because He tends to interpetate everything too literally. For this reason He is used in jokes like dumb, but she know that he isn’t.Her relation with USA is very particular. Usa is like a idol for she. A guide to be followed. Brazil loves anything that comes from USA. He seen as a big country, with lots of developed stuff, but She tend to see Alfred as a dumb and greedy big weirdoes who like aliens… Argentina is her number one enemies in soccer. She says him he is a gay cocky, but that’s more because of the rivality… She likes to make a jokes with this. But it’s just kidding. In really, She likes Argentina (she thinks Argentina is a beautiful country) and she likes his food (especially his barbecue) and travel to this country in hollidays. In politic Brazil and Argentina are very close. She like buy things to Paraguay (fake or falsified things come from there). It’s the place were brazilians like to buy things more cheaper… It’s very famous there by this. (China is also a font of falsified stuff and she calls it “Xingling”).Japan is loved and admired for her. In the 2nd war many japanese (and italians) people came to Brazil. She has the only and largest Japanese colony in the world and she´s proud of it, She loves his all kinds art and his culture. Brazil took a long time to decide which side it would choose in the Second World War. Finally She participated with the Allies band but she was unprepared to the battle… She had few people to war and learned to fight at the time, the Brazilian soldiers weren´t training but went to war anyway. She helped a lot with food and clothing and construction of ships, in the period of the war many escaped to here. But the war hardly hit her compared to other countries.She is one of the better worldwide in futebol(soccer)and this sport is the national passion, it’s her proud…Never has a cup that she don’t play. she won 5 times the cup. Her mainly enemies are: Argentina and Italy.Carnival is a joyful party to celebrate the colors, the love and every other good thing here and is very appreciated for her. She uses to say that the year only starts after the carnival.Brazilians like so much a party, dance and enjoy the life! She is very proud of her ways to protect nature, of her natural beauties and resources, and of her concern with nature itself…About the design:EYES: Why green eyes? Because she is the emerald of america, one of the most green countries. Her eyes are a reflect of his nature.HAIR STYLE: She takes care very much her lush hair because it is the Amazon. In old times, her hair was more lush, but because the deforestation of the Amazon (a serious ecological problem) her hair is getting shorter. But she tries to protect The Amazon with new environmental laws.CLOTHES: She wears the uniform of a gunner soldier from the FEB (Brazilian Expeditionary Force: [link]) in the Second World War. [link]
I cannot help but just love this Brazil’s design, it really fits in with my headcanon of the country, but past that, some serious thought was also evidently put into it. Also, the foreign relations of the country are explained and handled very well.
